Photography
Related: About this forumHere are two nearly identical moon photos.
This first photo had post processing done on my Dell computer. It was posted last night.
This second photo started with the Dell post processing and then had Paint Shop Pro added in order to reduce the noise and to enhance the craters.

(156,006 posts)This sort of photo is what happens when you play with the software. It's not difficult and it enhances what the pixels contain.
It makes a better, more interesting photo.
I encourage you to try it!
Best of luck on Sunday 8/22! Fingers crossed for no showers!

(14,299 posts)This is a beautiful shot, Peggy! I can see the subtle difference from PS Pro on the moon details.

(156,006 posts)I may be referring to "digital noise."
Thanks for your critique of the photos! When I ran the first photo through PS Pro, to produce the second photo, I was hoping to fix a couple of things that I felt needed fixing.
I'm still learning this software (there's a lot of it!) so when I can get it to give me exactly what I want...well, that's cause for rejoicing!

(14,299 posts)I've been guilty of over-processing on more than one occasion.
So: Hear! Hear!

(156,006 posts)The Paint Shop Pro has a handy feature: a back button that allows you to remove something you realize isn't good in the photo. It has saved me quite often!
