(19,682 posts)That would make a beautiful painting. Mind if I hold on to it and but it in my backlog of things to paint one day? 💕
CaliforniaPeggy

Frame it.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,306 posts)I have framed so many of my photos that I am running out of wall space!
Very thoughtful of you to mention that wonderful idea.
Hope you're feeling better every day!

(14,559 posts)I'd critique it and compliment all the elements that went into this (it's the college photo instructor in me) but that would just spoil it. It is meant for the eye but touches the heart.

(4,066 posts)Truly gorgeous, Peggy! And one has to keep doing a double-take to decide between whether it was photographed or painted exquisitely. Some elements make me lean one way and others the other way.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,306 posts)It may look like a painting, but I assure you that I took this photo with my iPhone. It's a remarkable little phone/camera.
I love playing with it.

(4,066 posts)What software do you use to edit photos (if you do)?
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,306 posts)I rarely use those in the iPhone.

(5,117 posts)The light on the leaves leads my eye up and down the vine. So much to look at.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,306 posts)There is a lot to look at, which made me want to take the photo!

(156,306 posts)I've been told that I have the "eye." And now I can express that with my little iPhone, to good effect.
Thank you so much for your very kind remarks.

(40,759 posts)This is the perfect shot! If you enter this in the photo contest you'll win first prize.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,306 posts)Well, it would depend on the theme of the contest, of course. Maybe some day a contest will have a theme that this photo fits.
Then we'll see!

(25,816 posts)The blurred edges of the leaves and the abstract background make this simple scene into art.
I see things like this but aren't able to capture them like you have.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,306 posts)I think I felt what you said and that made me take the photo. A certain amount of luck goes into why we take photos.
I felt very happy with this one!

(14,466 posts)There's still detail in both the shadows and highlights.
It all looks so cool, quiet, and peaceful.

(156,306 posts)I see the light coming in this window every day, but today I had my iPhone with me.
I leaped at the opportunity to get this photo, and I am so glad I did.
The photo has all those elements, and they make it special. I really lucked out.
