(25,994 posts)Looking out my front window just now, there is a flock of them across my street. They have been all around my neighborhood this summer as weve had so much rain. They are so unique n beautiful. Your close up pic shows that as I could never get that close to them

(10,122 posts)yes, i'm always going for creamy backgrounds....not hard to do with a 300mm f/4. this one was shot wide open at f/4 and the background was a fair distance back.

(89,289 posts)I think a photo like this would make a FABULOUS set of no message inside cards (where you write your own message - plain greeting, thinking of you, sympathy, get well, etc. )
You could do a series of em.

(8,006 posts)I think they eat grass munching insect pests as well so they are a welcome site in the ubiquitous artificial yards down here. Mine is all native weeds, err.. I mean ground cover but it's a uniform green so it slides by the HOA.
