mating pair of red eyed tree frogs

you see the havana cigar flower (Calathea lutea) in a lot of my shots....it's the most common flowering plant around my lagoon. this pair was clinging to this flower when i saw them. i cut the flower leaving enough stem to clamp it securely in the studio, took some shots and brought them back out to the same location....the female hopped onto the same plant from which i cut the flower, with the male still on top of her, still sleeping.

It's really an interesting capture. I like your use of the black background, too. It absolutely makes the pair the focal point!

we'd call this makin' bacon!

The male is exhausted. It's tiring work! Female looks like she understands what's going on.

It is a great photo!!
