OP
Good question Peggy - never thought of them that way. Perhaps a little bit of both,

Wow - that's a lotta years of indifference and hairballs! Sounds like Jeanie was a sweetheart.

Okay. Well, if you want to search for her I'd like to see her. If not, no problem.

It bites you. Its a small price to pay for dust bunny removal. The cat will forget and forgive at the sound of a can opener.
We had a wonderful cat named Jeanie. She gave us 22 years of indifference and hairballs. I miss her. She was nine pounds of purr power. She was very protective of us, and us of her.

At nine lbs, she was quite feisty. I saw her shred a Rottweilers nose. She attacked a yellow Lab, and left it quivering. None of that aggression was directed to us and those we invited into our home. She was a good mouser.

I think this was from back when I was still shooting film, with my first digital
You can see that one white whisker
