Related: About this forumThis is a very ordinary moon. So, why am I posting it? Well...
Because lately I've had a fair amount of trouble getting good moon photos. Thanks to the expert advice of AndyS, I was able to catch this early morning moon. It made me happy to get it. I wanted you to know that all photographers struggle to get the photos they want.

28% visible today which I missed, and likely won't see in the morning.
Won't rise until 1:20 A.M. Tuesday, and set @ 2:03 p.m.

(673 posts)A long time ago, a friend and I were laying on our backs looking up at the night sky. Being a photographer I started the conversation about taking pictures of the night sky, the moon in particular. After my half hour dissertation about the difficulties of shooting the moon, he explained to me that it was not that difficult. He then proceeded to stand up and drop trou.

(4,085 posts)It's gravitational pull is what causes the daily tides of the world's oceans. Since life is thought to have begun in the oceans, is it possible that humans may still retain some innate reactions to the moon and the tides? I think it often affects my moods 🌛🌚
