New camera bag that holds almost everything, at least everything I'll want for a field trip.

It holds the EM1, 12-100 lens, 7-14, 40-150, 300mm, 1.4x converter, 60mm macro, flash, all the fiddly bits to make stuff work and a 12" laptop!

It contains the equivalent of 14 to 840mm and weighs 17.5 pounds fully loaded. If I upgrade to the 7-14 m.zuiko I'll have room for another something? but don't know what yet. Trust me I'll fill the space
Only downside is it opens on the back so I have to actually take it off and put it down to access everything. On the other hand opening the zipper with all that glass and electronics hanging out is sorta scary.
It fits under the airline seat as an 'other personal item' in addition to the one overhead bin.
That's about as much baggage as left over from my divorce . . .

(14,559 posts)My little house is a fortress. I have visibility 360 degrees from the second floor, only two windows and one door down and the windows are small and very high non-opening. Only weak spot is the glass door in the down stairs with visibility from above and then they have to negotiate a 180 degree turn on the stairway to my living quarters. Good luck with that.
Good thing I don't worry about that stuff, this isn't Somalia . . .

(15,394 posts)I have a couple backpacks for my camera stuff. Should weigh it sometime because it seems to be getting heavier and heavier.
Another drawback to your backpack? No space to store a snack! hahahahahah!
