Related: About this forumI hope this is OK. I need help picking an entry for the next contest.
I was really excited to see that the topic for the next contest is rivers and streams. I've been shooting landscape photos ever since I retired ten years ago, and I have lots of rivers and streams. However, I quickly went through my files and came up with thirty eight possible entries! Yikes! I'm having a worse time than usual picking two of them.
Would you folks mind helping me decide on one or two? Thanks. Let me know if you think this isn't OK. I still have a lot more and I may make another post.

(2,193 posts)Because I don't think I've seen anything like it before.
Portage Canal is next for me, because it's so dramatic.
Good luck!
eta I also love Virgin River because of the colors.

(3,289 posts)... wbich means it will probably get entered.
I like Portage Canal for it's texture and color.
Thanks for your input.

(150,355 posts)I chose Yellowstone Falls because this is the first photo I've seen of that falls from that particular angle. Most people shoot it from down the river a ways, but I love this close-up. Very unique and gorgeous!

(3,289 posts)I also have a pic from that other location. I chose this one for the very reasons that you mentioned. The amazing thing is the water really is that green. I've seen it in other people's photos too.
Thanks for your input.

(22,384 posts)and then it they all got hot! These are spectacular, and I can understand your inability to chose, and join you. I might pick one by throwing a dart and then I got real and reluctantly made a choide.
Simply gorgeous. Please make another thread! Many years ago we did these "help me pick one" threads quite frequently in the photo group and they always provided excitement.

(3,289 posts)I wasn't sure if it would be OK. I may do another thread today, just for fun. I've really been fortunate to have been able to drive to so many places over the years. It has rekindled my passion for photography.

I should mention that I have a terrible record at picking contest winners - so, you may just want to trust your gut. Looks like youve had a wonderful time capturing these images. Theyre great locations. Good luck!
