But he does have some red on him.

Charlie came here because his owner wanted him to have a year of rest and relaxation; but he stayed and stayed and he's been here eight years now.

20. What did Charlie do for living?

Do you know if there's an Arabian or two in his family tree - those ears and that slightly dished face have the look.

21. He raced on the track and his owner adopted him off the racetrack.

She trained him to be a very good dressage horse. Charlie's a registered thoroughbred. No Arab background.

22. As a Thoroughbred he has Arabian ancestors

Today's Thoroughbreds originated by breeding native English mares and Middle Eastern Arabian and Turk stallions, circa 17th and 18th centuries. Due to DNA testing about 95% of male Thoroughbreds are direct descendants of the Darley Arabian, one of three founding stallions.

That picture is a hoot. Looks like he just got up and ready for his coffee and some web surfing.
