Related: About this forumMoon tonight
Air is cold and still in N TX. Really clear sky and very little pollution as the ice has had everybody staying home--no traffic at all for the last three days!
OMD EM1 mkii, 300mm f4 with 1.4x converter and using digital 2x in-camera for a total of 1680mm full frame equivalent. Hand held @ 200/sec f5.6 ISO 640
Perfect conditions for being near a major metroplex. There is usually a yellow tint due to the air quality but tonight it's pure black and white! Shot in color!
May be too cold for me to brave it.

(14,559 posts)Temp is in the upper 30s and no wind chill. Beats heck out of 18f and 10-15 north winds for chill factor near 0!
and I'm definitely chicken even tho low wind! Warmer later in the week, so I hope to catch it then.

(486 posts)I am relatively new and cant figure out how to post photos. How do you do it please?

(14,559 posts)I'll walk you through the process.
First the picture has be on the web, not in your computer. There are a number of free photo hosting sites and I'm sure some will be mentioned here shortly. The one I use is Imgur.com. It's free and relatively easy to use. You will need to set up an account.
Once you set up an account you can add pictures to your 'page' which can be public or private.
Once you have your picture uploaded click on it and there will be a menu on the right side of the screen. I use the second option "Direct Link". Click there and it copies the image address.
Open a thread and in the body paste the address [ctrl V]. There, you're done! You can check to see if it worked by clicking on [Preview] below your post and you'll see what it looks like before you [Post my Thread] to put it on DU.
The recommended size for posting is 1024 pixels on the long size--it helps with slow connections your viewers might have. Imgur lets you do that pretty easily and if you don't figure it out on your own PM me and I'll walk you through that.
Imgur isn't the only hosting site and may not be the best but it's the one I use and know best.
I look forward to seeing the things you've seen!
