Doing anything special today?

We're looking at a painted rock facing, made where?

Have a great day, my friend!

Cheers!

This isn't a painted rock. It's a naturally occurring arch formed by desert winds in the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, California and the trailhead to Mount Whitney. You can't actually see the shape of the heart if you follow the trail to the base of the arch. However, if you look at it from the parking lot at the trailhead, about a quarter mile away, an overhanging ledge forms the "V" at the top of the heart. The mountains in the distance, seen through the arch, are the White Mountains, which mark the western edge of Death Valley.

Was viewing on my phone. Blew the photo up a bit, so now I have a much better perspective & see details.

And I'm embarrassed by my ignorance.

🙏 Thank you again.
