I watched the first season of Outcast and knew there was supposed to be a second, but haven't seen any mention of it in awhile. Look forward to more. It's a little different sci-fi/horror series. I liked the juxtaposition of the way the two main characters looked at what was happening. One sees it as something supernatural, monster-y etc. The other guy, who was a preacher if I remember right, sees it as evil, from a religious viewpoint. And Brent Spiner is super in it, so ominous and definitely evil! Far from his Data role. Can't wait!

Looking forward to that one, as it is a psychological thriller, my favorite genre. There is a wiki entry on it, in case anyone wants a little more info. Just Google "'sharp objects wiki'".

Thanks for this post, yallerdog. I loves my summer movies!

Generational family issues thriller - Peter Coyote the patriarch - WGN has been broadcasting some interesting shows lately, what they call "original" material.

A couple hours a day with no mention of … He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named … the only salvation for our sanity.

On my cable plan I don't get WGN.

Yes, a few hours of respite from He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named is a gift.

I just bookmarked it in my browser. I am aways looking for something decent to watch, especially in the summer. I think I need to to get a life if I'm that dependent on TV. LOL

This season got aired overseas last summer and is already canceled effectively. The first season was great but two years to see the second? Yeah, they're not gonna build audience with that.

but Netflix has new shows, new content at a rate unequaled by ALL the premium cable channels combined! Not every show has to be up for an Emmy!

I am pretty irritated that 'Game of Thrones' on HBO is going to string us along until 2019 to see 6 final episodes (not counting spinoffs).

'Outcast' is a small-niche attraction, and I was surprised that it made it back at all! Just happens to be something I'd watch.

since from what I've heard they're going to be 90-minute episodes that are basically being done as six mini-movies of sorts. Lots of SFX and extended time. Not happy with the gap but at least it makes sense.

Outcast aired its second season in the UK in April 2017. Why wait until July 2018 to get it here unless there's a weird licensing thing? But since the network funded it there shouldn't be. They shot themselves in the foot and it's just coming out "because".
