2nd X GoT: Such great story telling and acting.

I'm in the minority seeing their ending as the only possible one, and that Peter and Kit were so superb.

Personally, I never needed the dragons or zombies, the dragon glass, the red witch, the Targarians, Jamie Lannister. But the story. The scenery and the whole Stark family were wonderful. But Peter's Tyrian is what kept me watching.

I often wonder what Peter could have done had he been a foot and a half taller. Such an incredible talent. But so few opportunities.

1. I agree re: ending, but.......

They never built it up, it was rushed. Yes it made sense, but as they spend episodes exploring and dropping hints about so many other items such as Hodar, to just go yep here it is. Adding on never given a reason for the Ice King (King of Winter), no motivation, no explanation. If you read the books they did dirt to the Sand Snakes. So great show, but massive failure on following thru on the ending and wrapping up many plot points and motivations. If you have not read the books, they too have not wrapped up an ending nor motivations for many character arcs.

3. I caught the explanation 2nd time: the children created them

as an army. But, whatever. I don't care about the myths, regardless. I gave up on it making sense in the first few minutes. But how Nickolai and Kit and Peter reacted to their plot points was wonderful.

And Arya's story made it all worth it. Masie's scenes with The Hound, Tyrell, The Faceless Man, and Walter Frey were sublime. When we discovered that she poisoned the whole Frey clan, as revenge for the red wedding, that payoff was incredible. Her solo scenes with the zombies in the basement of the castle were amazing.

I enjoyed watching the girls take down Little Finger, too. Diana Rigg was wonderful. I could have done without all of the Lannisters.

And I liked The Spider. He was so droll.

It was a tremendous palette for some incredible characters. The music grew on me, too.

5. I agree with you

I loved the entire series, but still they rushed the end, and again never explained what the white walkers wanted. Yes I knew they were created by the children of the forest, but the what did they want was never explained.

I also agree on the acting, especially the women, there were strong multi demential women. Each grew and changed, Sansa from a "princess" who just is in love with her teenage heartthrob to a consummate player of the game. Arya tomboy to assassin. Breianne of Tarth to Sir Breiane (sp). Even Cersi, her decent into madness was perfect, you even had to admire her solution (the destruction of the citadel and taking of the crown), it was a master play, but I did so hate that it took out Margaery another great part. Yes I am a fan, but still want some answers. I hope that George RR Martin completes the series so I can get them.

2. I just began listening

to it again. It is a force. Sitting on a small deck, with a temp not boiling your blood finally, taking in this long story again.

4. Peter Dinklage

Stole every scene he was in. Superb acting on his part of a great ensemble.

6. Yes, but I'll assume the other actors enjoyed playing off him.

I noticed he had top billing during the credits. Bold move on the producer's parts. He's not your typical Hollywood heartthrob. But he absolutely deserved it. I can't imagine he'll ever find another part half as good.
