The Curse of Oak Island.....new season starts tonight on History channel
Anyone have inside information if they found a treasure? At the beginning of last season I could of swore
the announcer said this was their last season but at the end it was "tune in next season". My gut feeling is they have found what they were looking for and keeping it a secret to milk it for all it's worth viewer wise. When they dug that 6 ft diameter hole and had the casing preventing a cave in, surely they starting hand digging from there.

1. Oh they found treasure 4 years ago when the series started, or whenever it was
as in millions of people who would watch nothing happen, episode after episode for years!
![]() I am guilty of having been one on and off. (not trying to insult you, like I said, I got caught up in this stuff too) |

2. I watched because I'm fascinated by it. Now, the show pays for itself
and the search. The point of the search is the show now.
I like the brothers and I loved the “this is all we will spend on it” but now everyone’s raking it in so why stop? |

4. I've Watched From The Beginning And I'm Hooked....
What amazes me about this show is how little information is passed on in each episode. Most of what we see is repetitive and at the end of an episode I walk away unsatisfied.
I just wish they would address how all this construction of tunnels, swamps and massive underground structures was built back in the days they reference this all came about. It always fascinated me that here we are in the 21st Century with all this technology, earth moving machines and equipment and they make very little progress. Yet all of what they are digging through was all done be hard manual labor. I'm hoping this year will be different - but I'm not gonna hold my breath. The brothers are even going to have a spin-off program this season looking into other treasure hunts. I'm looking forward to watching 'Hunting Hitler' more than the COOI. I'm starting research on a future program idea: Hunting Trump. |

6. I'm with you on "how little information is passed on in each episode" & "I walk away unsatisfied"
Gotten to the point the only satisfying thing about watching is Orville Redenbacher's popcorn.
