Any fans of "The Connors" ?

I really enjoyed the first several seasons but this year in my opinion they are spending too much time on Darlene and her love life.

In my opinion the way they are portraying her is just dumb. Not funny.

I would be interested in seeing how the ratings are this year. Betting they are dropping.

The cast of actors is as good as any on television.
When you have people that good you owe it to them to give
them better than good scripts. Not sure that is the case here.

I see it a little differently. What I hope is going on, is a long term story arc where the Connor’s finally get ahead. Becky’s sober, in school and making better choices. Mark is focused on his education and will do what he has to to succeed. He’s still a kid, so some of his choices might be questionable. And Darlene? She’s struggling to take responsibility for her life, too. As far as Jackie. I hope she doesn’t change. She’s too good of a character to be anything else.
When you think about it, this is a rare opportunity. We’ve followed this family since the 90’s. It would be nice to see them finally succeed.

The whole show focused around her.
Now they have a chance to develop the other characters.

mad about this focus on Darlene’s journey at all. Dan’s married now, Becky’s sober and stable…feels like they’re wrapping up the show TBH.

good this year. What’s with the dad getting married and then they never have his wife on. I think they spend to much time on Darlene too.

I did not realize that. Hope she is doing better. I thought the show she was on last spring-think it was called Rebel-was kind of good, but it got canceled.
