Glen Larson mentions in the dvd commentary that he was hoping to still get the short-lived series Manimal made into a movie. In spite of the recent untimely passing of series star Simon MacCorkindale.
I thought he might have just been throwing stuff out there hoping to speak it into existence. Although the video below seems to confirm that Glen was in talks with Will Ferrall about the time he made the dvd commentary. So he apparently did have something in the works prior to his death. Then he died and the project never went anywhere after that.
16-minutes into the video below the Manimal Movie comes up:
