(2,719 posts)He loved the show and, when he was elected Mayor, he had city council meetings moved from Tuesdays to Thursdays so he wouldnt have to miss the show. Sixty years later, the meetings are still on Thursday.

(61,033 posts)and would crack up over Bilko. McHale's Navy was a navy version of it, and F-Troop was an old west, cavalry version. Neither topped the original though.
