Anybody see those commercials for Litter Robot?

They have the litter box in the living room, right next to a potted plant! Who keeps their litter box in the living room? "Why don't you come over tonight and for your viewing pleasure, you can watch our cat use the litter box." I don't care how good it looks; it's a litter box!

My litter boxes are in the basement.

1. Yuck. Ours are in the basement, too.

The cat prefers them there. He likes his privacy. He always seems grateful and happy right after we clean up his box for him.

3. Yep, mine loves to jump in right after I've cleaned it and dig around like he's just lost his car keys.

5. Sometimes, my cats will watch me scoop and as soon as I'm finished, jump right in.

They're no fools! They like it clean, as I'm sure all cats do.

I keep it in my laundry room (no basement). I had my doubts when I purchased it but I love it along with my kitties. It is especially handy when I go away and my pet sitter - normally my son - doesn't have to scoop poop.

No regrets.

4. I would love to have one, but I could never afford it.

I just don't see why they have to show it in the living room, like it's a decorative piece of furniture.
