Actress Nancy Kulp was #BornOnThisDay Aug. 28, 1921. Known for her role as "Jane Hathaway" on the TV's The Beverly Hillbillies (1962-'71). Discovered by director George Cukor at MGM, while employed in publicity. Passed in 1991, (age 69) from #cancer. #RIP #lesbianfreedom #LGBTQ

Nancy Kulp was active in the Democratic Party and once ran for a local office.
Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett) was a right wing nut job and came in to campaign for her Republican opponent.
