Anyone watching The Count Of Monte Cristo on PBS Passport?

I have Passport and that allows me to watch the Masterpiece presentation The Count Of Monte Cristo

that won't be released until March 22nd. It has been terrific so far. (We've watched 2 episodes.)

I am thoroughly enjoying this adaptation. I'd forgotten what a good storyteller Alexandre Dumas was!

I also find the this story very timely for our time with the themes of justice and righting wrongs with honor.

Jeremy Irons gives a performance as the Abbe that was fantastic. I have downloaded the book to reread it.

I would be interested to hear what others think of this adaptation.

I haven't seen anything with Sam Clafin in it, and he's just wonderful. Looking forward to tonight's 3rd episode!

And we loved it! The acting was fantastic and the beautiful scenery, costumes, and the level of detail in making everything look from that time period was perfect. I was sad when it was over and definitely plan on reading the book again.

Bit of a let down after The Count Of Monte Cristo, but fun. Thought Sam Claflin was really good as the count,

but Jeremy Irons performance as the Abbe was my favorite. Looking forward to Ken Burns Henry David Thoreau

on March 30th!
