Amazing race... Seriously??? Have you ever seen a person

with their head as far up their ass as John? I couldn't believe it, but there was no doubt that team deserved to be eliminated - no arguing from me anyway. The long form video of John and Jessica on the mat with Phill was painful to watch and really illustrates what was wrong here.

in this interview http://www.cbs.com/shows/amazing_race/elimination_interviews/1000436/
My favorite quote is

Jeffrey C: What was the hardest task you encountered during the entire race?
John: Building the fruit offering.
Jessica: It was long and tedious and we weren't sure how to build it correctly. We kept getting denied and they couldn't tell us what we were doing wrong.

yet everyone else managed to get it done including the hockey players

You could tell she wasn't agreeing with what he was saying. Phil's "oy vey" at the end was funny.

went on and on about no regrets...and Phil said "Really?"

Jessica's got to be the brainier one. She wanted to say, "hell yes it was stupid"

Have been the moment to use the pass. He was soooo arrogant! He could not admit he messed up.

so they thought someone was behind them, but they did both sides of the detour after they saw person after person pass them - the fact that they were the only ones who could not finish the fruit is curious. I wonder what their problem was there?

How many times during that leg of the race did Jessica suggest using the express pass -- seems like it was 3 or 4 times. John seemed to be the type who has to be in control, judging from the fact that Jessica held back whenever he refused to listen.

And the full exit interview revealed how arrogant he was; he can't be wrong about anything.

Phil: "You're the first team who's standing at the mat in last place with an express pass."

John: "Well, I don't see the value of looking back & expressing regret over the decisions that we had no control over." Unbelievable!

To have boasted about their abilities as much as he did throughout that episode, then awkwardly bumble every stunt, he managed to make the girl from a past season who wore the arm floaties to go down a super-slide look good.

how they really feel. The disgust on Jessica's face & her double takes at John's comments said it all for her.

A team with a teammate who is literally crippled has back to back victories and now this team being eliminated with an unused express pass. I would guess that Dave and Connor's luck will run out shortly, but they should have another two legs in them. One where they fall to middle or below and then the one where they will be goners.

10. I looked at the father-son's wins & John/Jessica's loss as karma.

As it happened with the father's achille's heel injury, John's refusal to give them the express pass before this last episode worked in the father/son team's favor. If they had gotten it earlier, they may have been tempted to use it before they really needed it.

John used his own express pass as a tool for intimidating the other teams & making them suck up to him; plus, having such an advantage as the express pass seemed to embolden John's rude behavior to the other teams he didn't like, such as the hockey players, who were dumbfounded at John's rudeness.

power trip of having the pass but was too conceited to use it.

As for the father/son..not my favorites. Just because I am never attracted to people who have to keep reminding you that they are persevering over adversity (heal injury).

I haven't really picked someone to root for yet. Have you?

I haven't picked out a team to root for, either, but the hockey players seem to concentrate on their own game & I like that.
