It started as a revenge story for Bohannon, he seems to be distracted, except for finishing off Elam.

Maybe the final season will get him back on track - seems like a lot of villains have got to die! From the previews for the season finale this week, looks like he is about to get even more reasons to go on a rampage!

It hit me awhile after the show was over. He found his first wife hanging, so for him to see Ruth hung it must have been pretty awful. Plus he found his son burned in the barn, so the whole story line was a double whammy for him.

I do have to say that while it was a sad episode, I didn't feel too sorry for her. She had plenty of chances to live but had to be a martyr. She was mentally messed up from the time she arrived. The issues with her father, Joseph (? the Indian she loved then dropped), Ezra etc. I thought it was odd that she became such a devoted mother when Ezra was not there that long. Yes, I can see her being upset and even shooting the guy, but her reaction after was over the top to me. But as I've said in prior posts I did not care for her character from the beginning.
