Why is Kelly Ripa so well liked? She is a super pain in the EVERYTHING....that

show is ONLY popular now because of Michael Strahan. The day she announced in her squeaky squaeky voice that her 3rd baby slept on $600 bed sheets for the crib I stopped watching.

Now someone is trying to get the catchy name of "America's Sweetheart" to catch on. In your dreams Kelly.

You need to be sitting in a room with all mirrors around you so you can watch yourself THE ENTIRE HOUR you are on tv. Dear Lord, help us.

1. I think she was popular before he came on the show.

I have never really watched that show -- unless I am in a doctor's office or sitting around another type of waiting room.

I get the impression that she is good at everything. She is pretty and has a perfect family. At least that is her image. Usually, people try to tear down women like Kelly. I haven't seen that, and I wonder why.

I can't say that I care much. If she is successful at that type of entertainment, good for her.

Plus, her family are huge democrats and she has been very supportive of the local democratic party. Like most talk show hosts, she stays neutral on the national scene and tries to make light of deep political issues that would hurt her ratings with anyone. Her dad, Joe Ripa, is a well known democratic politician in Camden County NJ and is a lifetime union leader and democrat. He was elected a democratic County Freeholder (county level legislator/board) and is currently the County Clerk, also elected as a dem. His daughter fundraised for him and other local dems several times.

I do not watch the talk show with any frequency, but I liked her on Hope and Faith, an ABC sitcom. Anyway, I think the show is popular for far more than just Michael Strahan, whom I also like. She has been on it for 15 years, its not some new show.

She has been called America's Sweetheart for nearly 15 years, since she replaced Kathy Lee Gifford on the show. Anyway, I like her.

She is very perky, but free of a lot of personal "scandals" it would appear, so I'm sure that appeals to the demographics for her show.

She doesn't really bother me.

defending someone whose show I seldom watch. I don't feel I have time to sit around in front of daytime TV. I don't think it is healthy anyway.

But what is the big deal? She is pretty, and good at what she does. So what?

I guess my normal response would be the same as yours: She really doesn't bother me. But when I see her criticized for no reason, I am bothered.
