Looks like cases have pretty much doubled over the past week, but thankfully deaths and hospitalizations are holding steady.

The Sequence Has NOT Changed At All.

First Cases.

Then Hospitalizations.

Then Deaths.

Give it a couple of weeks.

I've also noticed that despite changes in numbers of cases that have been climbing for close to a month, there has been no signficant changes in hospitalizations or deaths. This isn't Missouri.

But you can keep condescending towards me. I appreciate it. Maybe you can lay more of your expertise out in an OP about how everything is just as bad as it was last year, or six months ago. Since it hasn't changed at all.

Because I Never said that nothing has changed since last year or 6 months ago. That would mean the vaccines were completely ineffective.

I do expect hospitalizations and deaths to increase, the only question is how much, and where. If over the next month, there is not a significant increase in those figures, then I would be willing to admit I was far too pessimistic. But for me, for now, I find it very premature to say that it's mostly under control, since cases are rising, but hospitalizations and deaths are not.

By the way, More than 50% of the country is Unvaccinated. The virus and the Delta variant have lots of room to spread. That goes for areas with high vax rates as well as those where they haven't even reached 40% vaccinated.

And AZ is currently at 44%, and on pace to reach 70% by May 10, 2022. Given the # of right wing nutjobs, I'll be surprised if it even comes close to that % in the end.
