one of the reasons I couldn't do the 4th in Wilcox this year. the fireworks show is put on by the FD and I just cry too easy at that stuff - this year...no way, it wouldn't have been any fun for me after the opening ceremonies.

They donated all the tips from the weekend to one of the charities. Other than that, I've been staying home. I didn't go to the candlelight vigil. I didn't go to the parade. They had 19 riderless horses with helmets in the saddle. I didn't go to the procession to welcome them home. I'm not going to the memorial tomorrow.

Maybe if I had gone to any of these, I'd be doing a lot better than I am. I just don't care about anything, right now. I'm still crying at the drop of a hat. I can't even begin to imagine what the families are going through. The children. What a horrifying image for a child.

And then, there's Brendan McDonough. The 20th Hot Shot that survived. What is he going through?

Thank you for all your support, Kali. If the husband and I ever get down your way, I'd love to get together with you and MFM. We'll buy him a girly drink.
