Can't draw a visual picture very well, can I?

I've never seen them that light...particularly, the legs. Strange creature.

There's one I heard of recently that is black and 8" long! Gah. South America someplace.

The ones we have around here are smaller than this, and dark; there's also one that is much smaller and translucent, and reportedly very dangerous.

The tail does have a stinger on the end. When not threatened the tail lies flat but if defense is needed it curls up over the back and stings whatever is right in front of the creature. They can sting multiple times.

As I said, no flip-flops.

ETA: Arachnid family, like spiders.
