Street life is getting rough in Tucson.

Many places that I remember is gone due to budgets. Many that are still around are understaff and underfunded. Found out from a couple of women one the waiting list that a abused woman will wait 1 month ( if lucky) to get in the women's shelter.

Call a few of these places and found that that is the case.

And now with the talk of scrapping the Air Force Base, this is going to get rough on Tucson.

I haven't heard anything about it here and I would have, I'm less than a quarter mile from our own air base. I think bases on the border could conceivably be downsized, but they will likely remain open for business.

I've noticed Republicans like to howl about bases on the chopping block when they're up for a hard reelection fight.
