6. Common sight in Tucson

Some time ago, one flew directly over my house at low altitude. The cats lost their little minds when they first noticed it as its burners lit with a pop and roar. They looked up and saw this noisy thing that had suddenly appeared RIGHT ON TOP OF THEM. The effect was deeply gratifying.

7. A tennis shoe and a Duracel battery

landed on the playground before school started. The kids loved it and did not realize the balloons were having trouble of some sort. This was about 6 years ago.
