Game and Fish releases rabid skunk alert
Game and Fish Department workers released an alert on rabid skunks.
Since the beginning of this year, they found 13 skunks with rabies in Pima and Santa Cruz counties.
That's compared to 17 in 2013.
There were no reports of rabies in people, but officials ask the public to avoid feeding wildlife
and make sure pets are up to date on their rabies shots. Livestock, horse and pet owners are
advised to ask their veterinarian about how to protect their animals.
