I leave them alone. We live in an extremal rural area, and I figure we live in their neighborhood. We have both Arizona black rattlesnakes and Mojave green rattlesnakes here. Besides, they help keep the rat population down.

My job was snake patrol. Just before grade school recess, two other guys and I would go out to the playground and remove any rattlesnakes which were in the play area or close enough to enter the play area during recess. We didn't kill them; would pick them up and take them a couple hundred yards off into the desert and dump them. Once we gave the all clear, the bell would would ring and they's turn the grade school kids loose.

I haven't seen any yet, but it is time and they tend to be hungry and aggressive this time of year. Lots of lizards in the yard and corral already.
