(55,004 posts)I am doing pretty good, really. I got a PICC line installed today so no more pincushion. I was having some trouble keeping my IVs working and they were probably getting sick of trying to dig through my leathery skin.
I await th wound vac still. Hopefully Monday. Otherwise, morphine for dressing changes and pretty good food (no restrictions, hee hee) Husband and boys came by yesterday and today he brought the girl kid.
Best news? got my TTBB today. aaahhhh! I was getting kind of ripe.
Working on a post about the "big" wildfire behind the house on the 3rd.
here is my view now:

(2,559 posts)Are you at the new building at TMC? (Recognize the water tower.)
I worked there for twenty-seven years, and live a mile south of the place.
That was a wonderful rain we just had.

(55,004 posts)really nice views, I do have to say! You are in the husband's old neighborhood. he lived off of Beverly when he was a tyke. (I wonder if you know him? I can PM my last name if you want)
When we first moved here from Illinois, we lived on Beverly a block south of Pima. Now I live On Van Buren, four blocks east of there.
I must say, it really gave me a turn to see the water tower on DU. From the angle, I assumed you were in the new clinic. They were working on it when I retired from TMC.
Until I saw the picture, I had no idea you were here in Tucson!

(33,020 posts)Doesn't that stuff wash away in the rain?

(55,004 posts)but look close next time you go past the Texas Canyon rest area. there is a big red splotch on the westbound side. It kind of blends in after however many years it has been (at least 6 or 7) but I see it because I know those rocks are not that color.
there are some stained rocks over on the north side (where I forced you to hike around to the old tungsten mill) that got hit a couple years ago that are still bright orange. it isn't real visible from anywhere obvious but I always see it when I go over there. I had asked the state NOT to drop that stuff on me unless the neighbors were really wanting it (and of course they did).
in general, I don't have a problem with just letting natural fires burn. they are part of the cycle to get rid of old dead grass and brush, and unless it is really close to the house I prefer to let nature work.
