Arizona ranks 49th in COVID-19 testing, but, don't worry, there's going to be a "testing blitz"!

According to worldometer.info, Arizona ranks 49th out of 50 states (just ahead of Kansas) in the number of COVID-19 tests per 1M residents.

Finally confronting this, Gov. Ducey has announced a "testing blitz." (No, I'm not making the name up.) For the next three Saturdays, certain community health providers will be administering coronavirus testing.

If you're interested, here's a link to locations, times, etc.: https://www.azdhs.gov/preparedness/epidemiology-disease-control/infectious-disease-epidemiology/index.php#novel-coronavirus-testing-blitz

Note: It appears you'll need to register in advance, and the test will not be free; either you or your insurance will have to pay for it.

This is purely anecdotal, but my sister's doctor told her two weeks ago that he had doubts about the quality of Arizona testing, that he kept sending patients he was convinced had COVID-19 to be tested and that only 9% of the tests had come back positive.
