Went into a store for the first time in 5 months. CVS in Sun City West.

My neighbor assured me that everyone wears masks now. Evening, only 2 cars in parking lot. So I took a chance on going inside, instead of picking up at drive in window, which is not contact free. One customer in store, male, maskless, chewing the ear of pretty young cashier after paying for purchase.

I asked him to leave the cashier area, told him he should be wearing a mask, and when he told me to mind my own, I ripped into him, calling him a trumpanzee. I don’t think he’d ever been called that before. I hope he’ll think better of going maskless next time. I certainly will not go back inside a store until there’s a cure. Thanks tRump and ice cream guy!

so I generally shop at night. Much less crowed too. But have been using delivery or curb side since March.

Check out AZ Central. Starting today, all restaurants, bars and gyms are re opening in Maricopa County. So we can go through this whole thing again.

around me, but a concern developed that one might back into me while I was moving. After I got on the road, I established my speed 2 mph under the limit. On this section of road, everyone speeds at least by +10 mph. Fifteen minutes later, darkness was setting in, and I fumbled getting the lights on. I don't like driving anymore. Maybe I will sell my car.

I once went about seven years without driving, and it came back instantly.

I do think people shouldn't leave their cars undriven for weeks or worse yet months. Get in it and take a drive. You don't need to stop anywhere or interact with anyone, but the car really does need to be driven regularly. And no, you are not going to get Covid-19 from the touch pad at the gas station when you do get gas. Really, you won't.

... since mid-March for a job. Groceries have all been ordered by scheduled pick-up. No restaurants at all, not even drive-through or delivery.

Check that! I walked inside a Lowe's about a month ago after nobody answered their pick-up order phone (or even their customer service phone) after about half an hour. At least everyone seemed to be wearing a mask, but saw several "nose-dicks" sticking out.

Edit: Oops, just noticed this was in the Arizona group. (In Ohio here.)

I loved my vacation in Arizona a few years ago! It was a bit like a science and nature field trip.

Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Sunset Crater, Lowell Observatory, Biosphere II, Saguaro National Park, Taliesin West (Frank Lloyd Wright Museum), Sedona, some solar power research center in Phoenix (don't recall the name), Native American ruins, etc.

Loved the low humidity and the people were nice!

Took a brief side-trip to Hoover Dam and Las Vegas too. Then the humidity was too low! Lol. (Had to stop wearing my contact lenses as they kept drying out instantly even with wetting drops.)

Flew back to Ohio and it felt like I was entering a rain forest as soon as the plane's door was opened! (I had become accustomed to the lower humidity out there.)
