'All students need to go home': UAMS cancels clinical rotations because of coronavirus
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has canceled all clinical rotations to limit the spread of coronavirus.
UAMS has asked all students to leave their clinical rotations immediately, according to an email to students from Associate Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Sara Tariq sent on Thursday morning.
Tariq said the decision was made to reduce the spread of COVID-19 at the recommendation of the health department and UAMS's Infectious Disease service.
Students were advised to stay six feet away from people, wash their hands and watch for symptoms.
