Limited dine-in service to resume at Arkansas restaurants May 11

https://katv.com/news/coronavirus/limited-dine-in-service-to-resume-at-arkansas-restaurants-may-11

The state has restricted restaurants to carryout and curbside service since March 19 to slow the spread of the coronavirus. When dine-in service resumes, restaurants will be limited to 33 percent of their guest capacity. Hutchinson said social distancing measures will be required, along with staff health screenings and regular cleanings.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, restaurants will be able to decide on their own if patrons must wear masks or face coverings. and can refuse service if they don’t comply.

Alcohol carryout will still be allowed. Bar service and live entertainment will be prohibited. Groups of 10 people or more will not be allowed.

That's the first phase of three in the state's plan to reopen restaurants. In the second phase, restaurants will be allowed to operate at 67 percent of guest capacity. Restaurants will resume normal operations in the final phase.

My wife and I already have a list of our first 8 restaurants we're going to hit! Hopefully, they all re-open. I'm afraid some will opt not to re-open.

Totally understandable. In fact, I was advising my own parents today not to be in a hurry to get out and about as things re-open. If my church were to start meeting again, I'm not sure I would go. Nor would I go to movies or a Hog game if they were played. My wife and I hit a walking trail today. It was pretty busy. Lots of people were out enjoying the weather. It's easy to maintain separation, so we were good with it. I'm grateful for any safe semblance of normal!

I was advising my own parents today not to go out, considering they are in a vulnerable group.
