http://bluearkansasblog.com/

Huge thank you to Mayor Jordan and the Fayetteville City council for tonights vote on the resolution rejecting corporate personhood!! This makes Fayetteville the first city in Arkansas to pass this resolution and join 140+ other cities across the USA who have taken a stand!! Much appreciation to all of you who came out tonight to show your support and speak on this issue! This is what Democracy looks like!!

I wonder how Wal-Mart and Tyson's are going to react to this, now that they are "personae non gratae" in Fayette-nam.

WOW! Here in Arkansas. WOW!

Am gonna ask our Diamond City Mayor about this possibility, though from what is seen, they are too delighted with Citizens United. When I put a yard sign up about "Occupy something" she was more than a bit unhappy, of course at the time my job was as the Mayor's Assistant. That ended April 30th, so the sign is back up.

Yay Fayetteville! Maybe there are real Democrats in Arkansas, I converted from Minnesotan to Arkansan five years ago, and have felt really lonely in my progressive liberal ideas. Does that mean we may actually get a Constitutional Amendment to overturn personhood?

As long as Wal-Mart and Tyson's are the biggest "people" in Arkansas, such a constitutional amendment ain't gonna happen.

Late 1800's the case of Santa Clara County VS Southern Pacific RR. Miracles do happen.

To stop the insanity of SCOTUS, we need that Constitutional Amendment AND the ability to "Charter" removed from the State and forced to the federal level, PLUS the applications made on a one-by-one basis.

Truth will catch on.
