As a kid.

Just as an extra. It was a pretty big deal as I remember. Then again I was just a kid.

They "shot" the dome with a round let launcher? Maybe?

I remember all the helicopters.

Much more sentimental to me is White Lightning. I was in Benton as a child in the late 70s/early 80s a fair bit and White Lightning is exactly what I remember of Benton.

I remember reading about that in the late great Arkansas Gazette.

Around the same time, Tim Curry of Rocky Horror fame was in Eureka Springs filming And Pass the Ammo.

As soon as Gannett took over, service started sucking. I was a subscriber at that time, and I wouldn't get my paper 3 or 4 days each week. I'd have to phone the local office to complain, and sometimes they'd deliver my paper later in the day, and sometimes they wouldn't. Someone would have to be a really dedicated subscriber to put up with that.

The closest Arkansas came to a real "duck and cover" emergency was from one of our own missiles!
