since last Tuesday, just not allowed to be tabulated until today. So the counts from them will be the bulk of the first candidate totals announced this evening. And they are expected to favor Clinton, as the majority of voters who cast those ballots are elderly and that is her consistent demographic.

Sanders voters are younger and generally are election day voters. So if you're a supporter of his, don't pay attention to the first few hours of count totals...he will be behind for a while until the majority of ballots voted today are put into the mix.

an option offered to all California voters. Nitpicking, I know, but my inner engineer likes precision. "Absentee" is a term used in places like New York that make voters have an excuse for why they can't show up in person.

Anyway, those are the early results we're seeing.

Because the vote by mail, one-time vote by mail, and absentee ballots are all the same. In essence, the one-time vote by mail ballot is the new absentee ballot.
