Wow, I lived just east of San Fran for two years. I left this last winter. Anyway, it never rained. California was great but I can't live somewhere without rain!

We had one year where it rained once, as I recall. Just once. I believe it was 2014.

California only has 2 seasons...wet and dry. I sort of miss it...especially when it snowing and icing here.

Lively springs and gorgeous Autumns (my favorite)

Winters here, I like, since there is no snow (except in the mountains), just the lovely r-a-i-n

Summer, less so (too damn hot & sunny, IMO-- monotonous!)

And I'm a native

I'm a bit lol at "first rain in months." Did they expect it to rain in June or July?

Still, this is good news.

The rain will be mostly to the north, and barely a measurable amount; just enough to mess with the windshields.

Debbie Downer, I am, but if you send me three dollars, I'll wash my car and guarantee a good downpour.

I noticed that wonderful smell of petrichor-- and knew rain was imminent. Smelled it before I saw it. Then there it was-- not a huge downpour but considered precip however you look at it.

Love it, too.

Though now, it's windy and sunny
