1. It's legal in Washington state. I voted for it, BUT....

I have to say, I didn't think it would mean that the whole downtown area would suddenly smell like cheap stinkweed, which it does.

It's THC oil, and I have to tell you, it didn't have the effect I thought it would. Of course, it's paired with housing becoming ridiculously unaffordable so there are a lot more people on the street and a lot of them just sit out there getting high. I walked down Third Avenue the day after the election and there were maybe 30 people gathered in front of a few businesses (7-11, smoke shop, and a payday loan place), all in varying degrees of being high. They were blocking the doorways to the businesses and blocking the street. About ten minutes after I walked through there, there was a fight and five people got shot.

I still support pot being legal, but please be very careful to craft rules for using it in public.

...and people to realize yes, it's legal and no, we can't just smoke anywhere we like.

9. Of course, prior to its being legal, we passed a law that you can't arrest someone for smoking pot -

at least as a primary offense. Note: I'm not against arresting people for pot use in the least. But now I think the two laws contradict each other. They should at least be able to write a token ticket of $10 or something.
