The ACHA is going nowhere and the GOP backup plan is to keep killing the ACA
They've already started by making Medicaid expansion optional for states and underfunding risk corridors.

Californians for a Healthy California Act Seeks One Plan, More Choice for Residents
Every California resident has one plan and more choice.
No more plan-switching or guesswork when insurance rates or plans change.
You pick your doctor, not health insurers.
Clinicians make decisions about care, not computers.
By pooling health care funds in a publicly-run fund we get the bargaining power of the seventh largest economy.
We cut out insurance company waste and duplication.
No more out of control co-pays and high deductibles.
Public oversight on costs and care, not decisions made in secret.

Heartstrings
(7,349 posts)Am I correct in thinking this to mean such as Medicaid, Medicare, VA, etc.? Because that's always been my way of thinking and this is the first time I've seen anything echoing my thoughts. If we pooled all those programs...boom! Healthcare for all, single payer, clinicians making decisions, no out of control HII...why is this such a hard concept? May need to move back to Cali....
