I am so glad I stopped teaching (illness) 4 years ago since it was at a year round schools without AC. I would turn the fan on and it did nothing but blow papers around. I would have to "spray" my kids with water. You can not teach or learn in that environment. My 6 year olds learned how to read a thermometer and what channel "The Weather Channel" was on.

Climate change is making our normally "dry" heat more humid like the East Coast. When they built our schools they didn't put AC in since it wasn't needed in 1975.

My daughter lives in La Jolla, and weather has generally been mild year round.
