SAN DIEGO The San Diego Girl Scout council is looking into whether a scout who was photographed selling cookies outside a marijuana dispensary broke any rules.
Officials were trying to identify the girl and talk to her family because she was in a commercial area, which is not allowed, council spokeswoman Mary Doyle said in an email Monday.
Urbn Leaf posted a photograph of the girl on Friday outside the shop that sells medical and recreational marijuana and invited customers on its Instagram account to come get some Girl Scout cookies.
The girl wearing her green vest of badges is clutching boxes of cookies outside the front doors of Urbn Leaf in the photo, which was widely shared on the internet.

(51,630 posts)They suck and will probably target that location now (my dispensary by the way). They only gave out about 17 licenses since the law changed this year and that includes delivery. You can't scratch your ass while holding a joint within about 10 miles of a school or day care center anymore.

(10,133 posts)Etc. that's good and SAFE selling. Parents can be there to supervise, they can group sell, and people love to buy the cookies there. In my town, there are no sidewalks, so door to door is an impossibility. Where else am I going to run into girl scouts selling cookies? Again, nonsense.
