Back home, putting together the pieces after the fire burns on west

https://www.sfgate.com/california-wildfires/article/Crews-fight-to-build-containment-of-wildfires-13150154.php#item-85307-tbla-5
Latest Cal Fire report puts the Ranch Fire at nearly 300,000 acres, 59% containment.
The devastation here is heartbreaking and I'm in poor health, still coughing despite all efforts to wear masks outdoors but going back to work today at our local hospital. The entire mountainsides are blackened, the air still smells of fire, some areas are truly sobering to drive through, nothing to see but scorched earth in all directions. The fire came within 15 feet of my humble home while I was evacuated, evidence of an epic firefight is apparent, Thank You Firefighters!!! I'm just a couple miles into the Lake county side of the Mendo/Lake line, at Blue Lakes.
I wanted to further my cleanup efforts at home yesterday, however the smoke reversed back west, air was unbreathable outdoors, so I packed up the dog and went to the beach. So much for cleaning up soot.
However, what doubles my pain is having publicly posted some news about the fire, with warnings that we must do our parts to curb climate change, of course garnered some more Trumpers to block after I attempt some discourse, always met with personal, childish insults. In response to one Trumper's post asking "how has your life changed for the worse since Trump", oh, yes I laid into that idiot. Of cooooooourse he responded with meaningless Trumpian drivel. Block.

in a relatively small fire in Kennewick WA this weekend, though thankfully no lives lost. I drove to Portland (222 miles) and back Fri-Sat and saw four active fires on the trip. Hell on earth everywhere this summer. My heart goes out to first responders and All affected.
