3. Thank you, Sir

SANTA CRUZ, CA — One suspect is in custody amid a shooting investigation that prompted a significant law enforcement response Saturday afternoon in Ben Lomond.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is still active and the public is asked to avoid the area of Highway 9 and Alba Road. The arrest was reported at 3:40 p.m.

Social media users reported an enormous police presence in the area starting around 2:30 p.m.

Looks like they caught this individual.

It's very hard to tell what's going on by listening to the scanners.

4. No violence from Santa Cruz protests

The Santa Cruz police chief took a knee with protestors last week. No violence. ???

5. It's NOT related to protests.

It was first reported (incorrectly) as a possible active shooter, but it developed into something else. I don't have all the details, but there's been one arrest and the investigation is ongoing.
