Just woke up to hear a lot of trees with rustling leaves, and now saw this at 400am Pacific: severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather Service for the entire Bay Area right now!

Highly unusual at this time of the year.

* At 351 AM PDT, a line of training severe thunderstorms were
located over the San Francisco Peninsula, Santa Cruz mountains,
and Monterey Bay, moving north at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Erratic gusty outflow winds up to 60mph. Frequent
lightning which may lead to wildfire starts.
SOURCE...Public.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Wildfire
starts from the lightning. Power outages from the wind.

Sorry for the stream-of-consciousness posting, but this is surreal to say the least.

When I went to sleep last night, we had a heatwave, and it was hot as hell. Now it's thundering, lightening, and raining!
