(2,992 posts)and talked my neighbors about local races. Now I am wondering whether I should go to the post office, or use the local drop box?
FYI, official drop box locations were included in the sample ballot.
Advice?

(11,005 posts)But I am in a gated community, so it's a bit more secure.
And, I registered so that I could track my ballot. There's more than one way to do that in California. I knew where my ballot was the whole time.
Yesterday, I received notice that my ballot had arrived at the registrar's office and that it would be counted.
I would probably go to the Post Office if I didn't have a very secure mailbox nearby. But that's just me.

(54,912 posts)I can walk to. One is at the local library. I ALWAYS drop my ballot off in person on election day with my little dog, we both would get stickers from the people working the polls. Today I decided that I will drop it off before election day since the line may be very long. I still have to investigate and do my homework on the local candidates then I will drop it off. I know that I would never forgive myself if I couldn't get it counted because I wanted to do it in person and the line was too long.

(2,241 posts)Because it wasn't that far away, and I wanted to leave the post office for other ballots. I drove over at midnight Friday night, got a text on Sunday (from ballottrax) that it had been accepted.
Really though, I think usps would be okay this early.

(4,085 posts)I received my mailed ballot Saturday last and emailed my vote to Oregon from my now home in Uruguay.
The county elections office emailed the news to me, and similarly to my 'pareja'.
