Well, it looks like the neighborhood I lived in 30 years ago in Ridgecrest, CA is under evacuation. It almost never rains there. I remember that, when we bought our house, we were told that, during a previous event, the water used the street out front as a drain and the water had been up to the front door once. But it was considered an unlikely and extraordinary event.
