I was 22 when I moved to SF in 1979. Technically the decade started in 1981 -- and I prefer to cite this year over 1980 because it coincides with the exciting turnaround of the 49ers. Walsh, Montana and company set the tone for the early 80's and helped the city segue from the grief of Jonestown and the Milk/Mosconi assassinations.
