California's snowpack situation is bleak

Problem with late rains is that such rains typically accelerate melting of the snowpack and encourage growth of flashy fuels (grasses, etc.) that catch fire easily and accelerate the growth of wildfires.

or even worse.........Red Flag Warnings (worst rating) have been standard in the mountains of Colorado for months now, and getting worse..........I can only imagine that the Wildfire Danger, especially along the Northern Front Range, could be the worst ever this spring/summer/fall......

Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas and southern California had better put SERIOUS water restrictions in place starting NOW.....
